Wheel Repairs
Arefurbs reserve the right to refuse services to complete any refurbishing process if they discover at any point during the process that the wheel will not, in the opinion of Arefurbs, be safe or may require a repair. Arefurbs will notify the customer by means of a telephone call or written format.
Locking wheel Nut
Arefurbs reserves the right to refuse service if a locking wheel nut has not been provided and ask all customers to ensure one has been supplied that fits. Arefurbs will not be held responsible for any damage to locking wheel nuts or bolts. Many tyres fitter over-tighten nuts/bolts, Arefurbs will use it best endeavours to remove damaged items. Any additional parts or time will be charges to the customer accordingly, Arefurbs will contact the customer to discuss prior to any additional work been carried out.
Arefurbs tighten all wheel nuts/bolts to the correct torques supplied by the vehicle manufacturer. Due to fresh paint and the bedding in process, Arefurbs advises all customer to re-check all wheel nuts/bolts after the first 30 miles. If a customer is unable to check, Arefurbs will happily assist in the process upon the customer’s request.
Tyre Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS)
Arefurbs will not be held responsible for any damaged caused during the removal of tyre pressure sensors due to excessive corrosion or general seized parts.
Some vehicles have a 'self-learning' facility to code/recode removed or replaced tyre pressure sensors, whilst other vehicles need to be re-programmed through the vehicle dealership. Arefurbs will not be held accountable for coding/recoding of any tyre pressure sensors, customers will be required to make their own arrangements for TMPS.
Tyres
Arefurbs reserve the right not to refit damaged, dangerous or illegal tyres. Arefurbs accepts no responsibility for tyres not supplied by us. Arefurbs will contact the customer prior to removal of tyres and services if a tyre is unsafe.
Colour Matching
During the application of paint finish and lacquer our technicians will use their best endeavours to match a colour as closely as possible to the customer request and the other alloys. An exact match may not always be possible, and the finished result will be subjective to this. In order to obtain a set of wheels that match, Arefurbs strongly advised all four alloys are painted and lacquered at the same time. Customers should be aware that certain high gloss finishes may show blemishes more easily, however Arefurbs will endeavour to complete all finishes to best standard as possible and should an issue occur, Arefurbs will contact the customer at the earliest convenience to discuss.
Unforeseen Issues
Arefurbs will use their best endeavours to refurbish alloy wheels to the best of their ability but cannot be responsible for any unforeseen problems which may arise such as poor casting, hidden cracks, excessive corrosion, buckles, poor previous repairs or excessive diamond cutting. These problems may only become apparent upon removal of the existing wheel coating. If issues like these become apparent, Arefurbs will contact the customers to advise what issue has been detected and what can be done to proceed with a revised estimated cost if required. Arefurbs accepts no responsibility for an unforeseen delay within the process of completing services. Some services may take longer than standard during any given process.
Payments & Collections
Vehicles/Wheels will not be released until payment is made in full. Arefurbs requires customer to collect their vehicles/wheels in a reasonable time span. Wheels not collected within 4 weeks of completion may be sold to recover cost. Arefurbs will liaise with the customer as much as possible regarding collection of vehicles/alloys.
Vehicles on site
Arefurbs accepts no responsibility for goods or articles lift in the vehicle. All vehicles must be fully covered by their own insurance whilst left with Arefurbs under the Road Traffic Act 188 section 143.
